Today is the day whereby Microsoft launched their new and latest operating system, Windows 8 which would be announced concurrently on the same day worldwide.

Beginning on Friday, 26th October 2012, consumers and businesses worldwide would be able to experience all that Windows 8 has to offer which includes:

When would it be available?

Windows 8 will be available for download to upgrade existing PCs in over 140 markets and 37 languages at here, and will also be available at retail locations around the world which includes Singapore.

Over about 50 Windows 8 devices from a wide range of manufacturers including Asus, Acer, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba - will be available at more than 120 IT retail stores across Singapore, including Challenger, Courts Harvey Norman and Newstead.

There would be a diversified range of new models all built for Windows for you to choose from which includes notebooks, tablets, all-in-ones, touch-enabled ultra books and convertibles.

What are the versions available?

Windows 8 will be available in two versions, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro that is catered to anyone out there who is interested in getting your hands on this amazing Windows 8.

Windows 8 Enterprise will also be offered in the market for business customers that offer new possibilities in mobile productivity with intuitive functions such as Windows To Go, DirectAccess, and BranchCache, as well as the enhanced end-to-end security with features including BitLocker and Applocker.
